DAVID GOLDFISHER
CO-FOUNDER, PRINCIPAL
David brings 30 years of talent and experience in the Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) industry, achieving exceptional success sitting on both sides of the lending table. He began his pedigreed career as a CMBS loan originator and was a director at some of the most prominent CMBS groups in the country, including Wells Fargo, Bear Stearns, and ABN AMRO/LaSalle Bank.
In the late 2000’s, a seismic paradigm shift was taking shape in the CMBS markets and David anticipated its profound impact on Borrowers. Consequently, he co-founded The Henley Group to ensure commercial property owners had a strong and authentic advocate, a trusted advisor who could strategize and diligently negotiate on their behalf and expertly navigate the unique complexities of the debt restructuring process.
David is proud to have earned a reputation as the guy you want to rely on to get the best possible deal done. He thrives on interpreting the needs, motivations, and requirements of each stakeholder and leverages his extensive CMBS knowledge and insight to turn the most challenging financial problems into creative solutions. His long-standing relationships with a wide range of Special Servicers and the bondholder community put him in a class by himself. Above all, David’s deep commitment to clients and patient and persistent negotiating are at the core of The Henley Group’s outstanding CMBS workout track record.
David earned an MBA in Finance and Investments from George Washington University and a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. He holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
Away from clients and spreadsheets, David can be found coaching soccer, concocting something delectable in the kitchen or planning his family’s next great travel adventure.
