Advisory Board Members

Doug Freeman, Commercial Real Estate Owner/Entrepreneur

Doug is President of Secured Realty, Inc. in the Greater Boston area. He has over 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate space and specializes in real estate acquisition and development. He was a Senior Account Officer at the FDIC. We look to Doug for his valuable perspective and his vantage point as the owner of office, industrial and specialty retail property. His experience is a textbook in overcoming opposition and leveraging tenant relationships.

Christopher Kosonen, Vice President and CMBS Market Expert

Chris synthesizes a strong Wall Street investment background with in-depth knowledge of the property markets, loan origination, and all facets of CMBS. He is Vice President of J.P. Morgan in Chicago and a recognized CMBS expert. We look to Chris to shed light on key CMBS trends–financing, securitization, and rating agency trends—obscured as they are within the deep folds of the CMBS realm.

Brian Morris, Loan Originator

Brian has over 20 years of commercial real estate, lending, and asset management experience. He is presently an originator at ACRES Capital where his chief focus is providing financing for transitional properties with strong upside potential. As a former CMBS Borrower Advocate, Brian has worked directly with Master and Special Servicers as well as the Trust’s Bondholders to resolve complicated loan issues for Borrowers. He has closed and/or managed over $1 billion in transactions across multiple product types and strategies. While Head of Asset Management at Argosy Real Estate, a real estate private equity fund, Brian managed over $500 million in commercial assets. Prior to this he served as Managing Director at LEM Mezzanine where his responsibilities included sourcing, underwriting and closing commercial real estate mezzanine and preferred equity investments. Brian’s unique “engineering and analytical” pedigree coupled with his CMBS lending acumen allows Brian to deftly value any commercial asset and provide insightful deal intelligence—he possesses a mature industry perspective that compliments The Henley Group’s.

Scott Park, Director and Mortgage Banker/Broker

Scott has 18 years of commercial real estate experience under his belt, including underwriting and structuring of commercial debt and equity. He is currently a Managing Director and Office Head at Columbia National Real Estate Finance, as well as a member of Allstate Correspondent Advisory Council, and a member of DCBIA Capital Markets Committee. His strength is his in-depth knowledge of the Mid-Atlantic region—a region into which THG has aggressively expanded. We look to Scott to project trends and continue to provide invaluable dynamic market insight. Scott holds an MS in Real Estate from JHU.
